Sales Manager – Containment & Storage

Our Client, a leading Storage Tank and Pressure Vessel Manufacturer, located in Waterloo, ON is looking to hire a Sales Manager to join their growing Business!

The Position:

TheSales Manager– Containment & Storage, is responsible for driving best in class performance through the optimization of the selling process, expanding into key markets and developing the sales team. This position will perform the analysis, planning, implementation, and control of programs designed to support organizational objectives in the area of sales and marketing primarily as it applies to storage containment products.

This position shares responsibility for marketing and selling activities relating to the sale of a defined product or products. This position includes managing customer relationships, attainment of business objectives for revenue, improving customer satisfaction, developing and implementing Sales key performance indicators, policies and practices. Among specific responsibilities is the establishment of promotional programs, determination of selling practices and sales strategies, including selling prices (with senior management approval) determination of sales staffing, and inside sales activities. The position will play a leadership role in determining new product offering in conjunction with the Business Development Manager and the Division Manager.

About You:

  • You have a Post-secondary education in business or equivalent business experience would be an asset.
  • You have experience, network and proven success in similar role in the same industry would be a strong asset.
  • You have a minimum 8 years of Sales leadership, Including 4 + years of sales and marketing management experience in a related market;
  • You have the ability to travel both Canada and the US;
  • You have prior leadership / supervisory experience;
  • You have the ability to lead internal and external sales teams;
  • You have excellent communication skills oral and written;
  • You are able to work independently or cooperatively in a team environment;
  • You are well organized with attention to details;
  • You have strong knowledge of the Microsoft suite of products as well as other systems;
  • You have a consistent record of being a top 20% performer;
  • You have a demonstrated analytical approach to sales from planning through to execution;
  • You have a track record of building lasting relationships with your team, customers and partners;
  • You have closed complex sales in highly competitive environments;
  • You have a Valid Drivers license;
  • You have the ability to perform well in a highly dynamic, rapidly changing environment;
  • You have the ability to forge relationships with sales and marketing decision makers and regarded as the go-to contact with executive management of customer organizations
  • You are a skilled storyteller with experience communicating the benefit of sales and marketing opportunities
  • You have exceptional communication and presentation skills with an emphasis on translating insights, product information and data into client value. This includes strong influencing capabilities.
  • You have strong management experience and skills with the proven ability to manage managers, cross-functional teams and influence people not directly reporting to you
  • You are able to identify motivational tactics to help build teams and results
  • You are able to ensure the team is executing on the brilliant basics by balancing deep involvement and leading from behind
  • You use accurate goal setting and forecasting and execution to reach and exceed sales quotas
