Job Summary:

Reporting to the Vice President of Sales – Canada, the E-Commerce Sales Manager is responsible for the day-to-day duties that support Weber’s E-Commerce strategic sales plans for the Canadian market. This position will direct and manage content, strategy and tactical plans developed in collaboration with the VP of Sales - Canada. You will be expected to achieve sales objectives through effective management of technology and fulfillment to best position the brand for exponential growth. Critical to the success of this position is the support and interaction with cross functional teams, including marketing, sales, forecasting, planning, dealer services and customer contacts within each retail account. The E-Commerce Sales Manager will direct and assist in the sale of Weber gas/charcoal grills, Q, and Weber accessories to online partnering key accounts.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, drive and implement the national e-commerce strategy in line with the overall business strategy
  • Manage all day-to-day e-commerce operations including the P&L of the e-commerce structure
  • Comfortable working within leading e-commerce platforms and working knowledge of effective techniques and testing to help drive revenue
  • Manage and expand the online business working closely and developing solid relationships with key partnering accounts
  • Manage the Sponsored Product Ad campaigns and Promotions
  • Identify, qualify and acquire new online accounts to drive revenue growth nationally
  • Strategize and leverage digital content to drive increased traffic
  • Analyze data, trends and key consumer behaviors and make fact-based recommendations
  • Stay up to date on new tools and best practices for online growth opportunities
  • Manage all aspects of an e-commerce store
  • Ensure successful execution of marketing strategies and online partnerships and promotions
  • Provide recommendations and support on Content Marketing Strategy
  • Optimize program costs and operation to maximize efficiency
  • Evaluate and advise on the use of new technologies, benchmarking trends and competitor data to stay at the forefront
  • Develop and implement sales KPI’s and other sales metrics; provide summaries to the VP of Sales as required
  • Ability to provide detailed business analysis and be hands-on with execution
  • Ability to self start and move forward special projects and sales initiatives in a timely manner
  • Provide regular updates on competitive issues and sales activity in the Canadian market

Education and/or Experience

  • Post-secondary degree or equivalent in business and/or marketing
  • 5+ years of related work experience with progressively larger responsibility
  • 3+ years of industry experience in the CPG market
  • Experience in Digital / E-Commerce sales
  • Strong negotiating and analytical skills
  • Ability to forecast and meet sales targets with a goal to maximize ROI
  • Proven experience leveraging a consumer brand to generate rapid online growth
  • Proven capabilities of developing a successful marketplace selling strategy
  • Management of broad projects both independently and collaboratively

Other Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to lead people and support internal teams
  • Thorough understanding of the retailer landscape in Canada
  • Refined presentation skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Business and Outlook
  • Must be a hands-on, proactive, high energy, enthusiastic team-builder with excellent motivational and development skills
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and grow relationships within Canadian retailers
