Dedicated to quality and the satisfaction of our customers, each Team Member will perform duties in accordance with industry specific regulations, Global Food Safety Initiative Standards, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points Certification, Good Distribution Practices, Standard Operating Procedures, Quality Standards, performance expectations as well as Workplace Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.

Each Team Member is responsible for food safety and to report on safety and/or quality problems to personnel with the authority to initiate corrective actions.


Reporting to the VP of Marketing, the Assistant Brand Manager is responsible for the development and execution of marketing/brand strategies and implementation of brand plans for Sol Cuisine. This position plays a significant role in achieving marketing goals, supporting sales initiatives and company sales growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and Execute projects such as marketing materials, packaging changes, coupon programs, trade shows, shopper marketing and consumer promotions by working collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Support new product launches including launch material, packaging design, product samples and communication to Sales
  • Analyze consumer research data, trends, performance measures and competition to understand issues driving performance and aid in decision making
  • Work closely with agency partners to plan and execute integrated consumer programs across multiple touch points including packaging, Public Relations, digital, in-store and consumer events
  • Assist in developing and manage social media campaigns
  • Manage website strategy and content
  • Work closely with R&D through market research, trend identification, review of consumer feedback/information, and communicate insights and action to all stakeholders
  • Manage marketing spend with assigned budget and participation in annual planning and regular reporting with Finance
  • Provide marketing and administrative support to the team as required
  • Other projects or job-related duties as assigned

  • Bachelor of Commerce with major in Marketing or another related business field (MBA an asset)
  • Minimum 3-5 year’s experience in marketing in a CPG manufacturing/food industry organization
  • Strong understanding of the food industry in Canada and the US; experience in natural and organic category and small brands an asset
  • Product, Consumer and Market Knowledge
  • Self-starter with a high level of initiative and flexibility
  • Excellent planning, organization and time management skills, able to delegate effectively
  • Intermediate level of skill for Microsoft Office 2007 Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook with the willingness and ability to learn new digital solutions
  • Team player, ability to adapt to changing situations in a fast-growing company
  • Proven project management ability with a bias for action

Salary Range: $60K - $90K
