The Inside Sales Representative is a new role that will report into the Director, Sales & Marketing. The role is being added to support Polytainers’ growth objectives and ensure that all customers continue to receive the highest levels of service. Working alongside the National Account Managers, the Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for achieving all territory business objectives while pursuing opportunities primarily within the existing customer base. The Inside Sales Representative will promote Polytainers’ products and services with key opinion leaders, specialists and technical professionals utilizing a Strategic Account Management mindset with the goal of becoming the customer’s trusted packaging advisor. This is an office-based role with limited travel. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are required. A record of success in this role will prepare the candidate for progression into other roles in the customer-facing organization.

Job Requirements:

  • Track, monitor and manage accounts to ensure achievement of sales goals
  • Take appropriate action to communicate and address business issues proactively
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships to identify and capitalize on business opportunities
  • Assist in preparing annual customer reviews
  • Update sales forecast in a timely fashion to indicate major changes in the business
  • Provide customer, competitor and market intelligence to Polytainers organization to improve the organization’s insights and expertise
  • Develop strong working relationships with cross functional team members in pricing, graphics, and operations by understanding cross-functional perspectives on issues and opportunities
  • Other duties, as assigned

Qualifications

  • University degree preferred
  • Bilingual (English and French) is an asset
  • Minimum of 2-3 years related sales or customer service experience with a strong record of achievement
  • Experience in the packaging industry or in a technical industry preferred. Field sales experience in grocery industry is also highly relevant.
  • Results oriented, customer focused with proven business acumen
  • Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, curious mindset
  • Ability to work well without direct supervision and collaborate effectively across functions
  • Experience on sales force considered an asset
