Director, Sales Planning & Category Insights
Sales Planning and Category Insights acts as the hub for Sales Planning,
Strategy and the development of winning in-store solutions for Canada's Pet
Nutrition Division. This role represents Sales to many internal
stakeholders and is actively involved in external partnerships including the
customer. The role is responsible for linking brand plans to customer
plans by translating marketing strategies into meaningful and actionable sales
programs and leads the go-to-market process in support of this.
What are we looking for?
5 years' experience in CPG industry
degree required, preferably in a business discipline
to travel as required
contact with major Canadian retailers at a senior level
account management experience
Strategy, SRM or Category Management experience
leadership and experience managing direct reports
leadership within a cross-functional team setting
What would be your key responsibilities?
- Spearhead the development and deployment of
Pet Nutrition category growth focused GTM strategy, by working with
cross-functional team to translate marketing strategies into meaningful
and actionable sales guidance and plans.
- Lead the annual planning process for Sales,
enabling both internal (e.g. SAS meetings, Collab 1/2) and external (e.g.
JBP meeting) deliverables.
- In times of constrained supply, responsible
for determining the implications to the Demand organization, managing
product shortage allocation, customer prioritization, and providing clear
direction to sales.
- Partner with Category Managers to develop
insights based selling stories, to achieve the sell-in of big growth
- Collaborate with the Global Perfect Store team
in order to share/receive best practices and drive the long-term Mars
Perfect Store capability agenda, adapt Global/NA insights where meaningful
for the market
