HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LLBE DOING

  • Jumping Right In –You will be job shadowing all production positions, providing hands on participation while you study and analyze work processes through classic work measurement assessments. These include time studies, flow charting, and writing Standard Operating Procedures. You will be participating in continuous and permanent improvements and managing cost savings projects.
  • Building the Tools –You will be assisting in developing and enhancing analytical and statistical tools, process flow documentation, database queries, reports, Standard Operation Procedures and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
  • Improving Productivity –You will be assisting with implementing standard work across several job functions. This will involve comprehensive work study, observations, and analysis. You will be recommending workflow, equipment and other changes to improve productivity.
  • Optimization and Simulation Modeling –You will be providing support for modeling work to determine the most efficient supply chain network structure. You will be updating training materials, logging issues, coordinating and planning training projects, inputting data and creating Key Performance Indicators.

YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS

Required:

  • Available to work for a minimum of 8 months up to 16 months full time and have a schedule flexible enough to accommodate all work hours shifts, if necessary
  • Candidate must be a in a Bachelors program – preferably a Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering major
  • Minimum of 70% or B or 3.0 GPA (Major); 2.7 GPA (Cumulative)
  • Excellent PC skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficiency with computer-aided design software, Visio or AutoCAD
  • Ability to be flexible, multi-task and work independently or in a collaborative environment and to work in high pressure situations.
  • Solid project, time, and self-management skills as well as excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical, research, problem solving, and decision making skills

Bonus Points:

  • Junior or Senior status preferred
  • Kaizen knowledge and/or experience
  • Modeling experience, particularly work flow modeling/simulation, preferred
  • Minitab Statistical Software
  • Previous experience in the food industry, manufacturing a plus
