Job Description

Join us for a 12 Month Contract opportunity as a Foreign Trade Compliance Analyst at Kellogg Canada! In this role, you will audit commercial invoices, bill of ladings, and purchase orders to ensure compliance with CBSA regulations. You’ll have the chance to enrich your skillset as you represent Kellogg Canada and work directly with North American Custom Brokers, Canadian Customs, Carriers, and Vendors. Lead with us as you develop and drive compliance process improvements while working with Kellogg and non-Kellogg shipping locations.

  • Prepare, review, and audit –Staying up to date on all changing regulations governing custom clearance activities of the corporation, cross-border movements, and other related trade legislation will certainly set you up for success. Review and audit Custom entries for accurate transmission, commercial invoices, bill of lading, and purchase orders to identify and resolve discrepancies and ensure compliance with CBSA Regulations. Prepare and submit B2 amend/refunds to CBSA to correct errors in import entries, prepare all export documentation and transportation for international sample orders.
  • Drive compliance through collaboration –Develop strong working relationships with Custom Brokers with respect to B3’s COS, CCI, and HS Tariff Code classifications and the release of shipments from Canada Customs. Prepare and submit required ruling requests to CBSA. Work directly with North American Custom Brokers to direct clearance instruction on shipment where Kellogg Canada named Non-Resident Importer into the United States.



    • Post-secondary education within Supply Chain (or related discipline) and/or a minimum of 3 years related work experience
    • Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) and/or Certified Trade Compliance Specialist (CTCS)
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills and experience in MS Excel/Word/PowerPoint applications
    • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to organize, prioritize, and act on various projects simultaneously

    Bonus Points:

    • Strong experience with import brokerage or import department in food manufacturing
