Job Description

Come grow with us as aFood Safety Supervisoras you will ensure the development, compliance and certification of food safety programs for theBellevillemanufacturing location. Lead with us as you will manage inspections, traceability, testing, vendor auditing and microbial program compliance. In your role as a Food Safety Supervisor at Kellogg, you will be part of our success by:

  • Delivering continuous improvement and working with Corporate Quality and food safety in the execution of company programs with direct involvement with manufacturing support personnel
  • Ensuring that the Site food safety plan meets all the Kellogg requirements and is continuously updated to meet the regulatory and GFSI standards.
  • Adhering to required quality & food safety laws, regulations, corporate policies and practices, including vendor management related to food safety
  • Ensuring allergen program management and compliance by key traceability, inspection program management, vendor management, and the delivery of the established metrics for the microbial program
  • Being accountable for HACCP/Food Safety Plans and quality & food safety training for the facility to ensure compliance and execution of required programs
  • Ensuring adherence to all standard work processes and CAPA
  • Supporting coordination and preparation for internal and third-party audits
  • Being responsible for compliance with all food safety regulations in the plant; ensuring proper sanitary condition at all times, including all guidelines for allergen control and pest control are followed
  • Maintain and upkeep the Kellogg work systems and internal audit programs for the plant
  • Responsible to build QFS /KWS capability among the team through training and coaching
  • Execute the Food safety risk assessment program, Testing Equipment calibration and certification program including Metal detectors and X rays
  • Execute Hold and Release program, Mock recalls and traceability program for the plant



  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Frequently demonstrated quality & food safety experience in a manufacturing environment
  • HACCP or PCQI certification and thorough technical knowledge of quality & food safety, including GFSI or FSSC 2200 program requirements
  • Extensive knowledge of applicable regulations, GMP and Food Safety standards in accordance with the FDA, USDA, CFIA, etc.
  • Strong auditing and assessment skills
  • Strong technical and software knowledge
  • People and process management experience
  • Strong technical aptitude along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with SAP
  • Quality & Food Safety leadership/supervisor experience


  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a quality & food safety, food science, microbiology, or related field
  • SQF Practitioner Certification
  • Proven experience in managing processes through Continuous Improvement
  • Significant knowledge of food processing and packaging
  • Experience in auditing and Safe Quality Food (SQF) requirements
