TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Media Relations &
Media Monitoring–You will be responsible for the development
and distribution of Daily News Briefs to the Organization and act at the
key point of contact with our media monitoring service providers. You will
develop and distribute targeted media coverage reports on active and
emerging issues and maintain the Kellogg Canada Media Hotline.
Communications & Event Planning–You will assist in the
planning of quarterly Employee Communications Meetings, developing
materials as required. You will also assist in program planning,
logistics, and execution for numerous internal employee events.
Communications –You willdevelop and maintain corporate
content, web enhancements, and the News Centre on Kelloggs.ca. You will
also update and maintain various Canadian Corporate Communications
materials and content for internal and external audiences.
- Kellogg Canada
Intranet Portal –You will update and maintain anongoing
editorial calendar for our SharePoint-driven Intranet portal and Digital
Screens, refreshing content on an ongoing basis.
- Brand Marketing
Communications –You will assist with internal communications
materials and initiatives to support Brand Marketing activities and
participate in program planning and ideation.
- Social Media –You
will bring a strong social media acumen to the role, stay up-to-date on
emerging social media trends, and design and develop corporate content for
our owned social platforms/channels.
- Corporate Social
Responsibility–You will support Kellogg Canada’s heart and
soul strategy and global purpose platform,Kellogg’s Better Days,with
key internal and external stakeholders, including the coordination and
planning of various employee volunteer initiatives.
- Crisis & Issues
Management–You will compile enhanced daily media coverage
reports, and file, maintain and analyze news media coverage.
RECIPE FOR SUCCESS
- University Degree
and/or Graduate Certificate with a focus on Communications, Media English,
Journalism or other related fields.
- Minimum two (2) years
PR Agency or Corporate experience in Communications
- Excellent writing and
communications skills, creative problem solver, strong time management
skills, detail-oriented, independent self-starter, strong interpersonal
skills and sense of urgency, sound judgment, negotiation skills, and a
commitment to exceptional client service
- Tact, diplomacy, and
discretion when managing confidential information
- Strong Social Media
- Experience with
social content writing, design, and planning across multiple, real-time
social platforms/channels (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn,
- Understanding and
interpretation of platform analytics
with social listening/moderation and industry tools (e.g., Sprinklr)
- Strong working
knowledge of PC applications including MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word,
PowerPoint) and Microsoft SharePoint
- Photoshop & Design
skills (e.g., Canva, etc.)
- Strong working
knowledge of Media Monitoring platforms (Cision, Meltwater, etc.)
- Bilingual capability
- Graduate of Public
Relations Certificate program
