Position Summary for Demand Analyst

Reporting To: Demand Planning Manager

Team: Operations, Supply Chain

Accountabilities:

  • Develop and maintain 24 months rolling forecast through Statistical Methods using the Atlas Planning tool and consensus process
  • Achieve FA, Bias & Stability targets for assigned customer brand portfolio
  • Conduct “root cause” analysis
  • Develop and maintain base + lift forecast
  • Facilitate new SKU launch, discontinuation, Phase-in/Phase-out and product substitution in Atlas Planning system
  • Learn and become the Super-User of the Atlas Planning System
  • Participate in the monthly DPR Process
  • Work closely with Production Planning to maintain service fill rate and inventory turns targets
  • Facilitate monthly consensus meetings with Sales and Operations
  • Ensure weekly demand planning activities and deadlines are met supporting the Demand Planning Team with MS Excel analysis requests, Atlas procedures, rotating tasks periodically
  • Develop and adjust demand planning reports and processes to support the Markets assigned: FDM & Vitamin Health
  • Learn and use Customer’s portals as part of the CPFR process (Collaborative Planning, Forecasting and Replenishment) and pull reports for analysis
  • Check and update pricing on re-tags and new item launch, review innovation SKUs from IRA reports, refresh daily MS Excel Trackers
  • Attend Customer/Broker calls with the Account Managers as required
  • Collaborate with Operations on PDQ’s and Pallet BOMs changes
  • Train and re-enforce with the consensus stakeholders demand planning processes and reports
  • Provide support for annual budget and quarterly financial forecast review. Learn and use Sales planning tool Analyzer
  • Provide support to refresh and create Demand Planning Workflows, and initiate process improvements

Experience & Skillset:

  • Post-Secondary Education in related field or minimum 5 years experience in demand planning/forecasting
  • 5+ years’ experience relating to statistical modeling and forecasting preferably within a consumer packaged goods environment
  • Experience in Logistics, Production Planning, Supply Chain processes and Inventory Management
  • Experience in developing and implementing processes and structure with respect to sales forecasting and production planning
  • Experience working with John Galt (Atlas) and Cognos or Power BI would be an asset
  • Ability to work independently in a cross functional environment
  • Proactive and able to continuously manage change in an extremely fast paced, energetic work environment
  • Outstanding communication and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills
