Position Summary:

As a key member of the Field Sales Execution Team, the Operations Coordinator will collaborate with the Program Client Manager & the Key Account team to serve as the “go-between” and “communication funnel” to and from the Retail Field Sales Team, each of the major Customer Teams, and the Marketing Department. The position is responsible for assimilating the information required in setting sales priorities for the Field Sales Team to execute in a given cycle (i.e. 4 weeks, 8 weeks or quarterly time frame). The incumbent is required to take the initiative in creating a standard communications process, format (communications template) and time cadence, to help support the Field Sales team focus on priority accounts while using the appropriate tools for delivery.

You bring mad Word, PowerPoint and Excel skills to the table – these are critical to the role. Although you’re like a “dog on a bone’ when it comes to getting the information you need, your amazing relationship building and leadership skills make you that person that everyone wants to work with and support. What You Will Be Doing Every Day:

Field Sales Priorities

  • Assimilate the specific business needs (i.e.programs, new product launches, promotions etc.) of the category business teams (Marketing, Key Account team) and try to gain alignment on priorities for the upcoming selling cycle
  • Develop the communications plan, including a package containing information crucial for the Field Sales Teams across the country

Sales Tools

  • Work with the Key Account team and Marketing to ensure the appropriate standard tools are in place and functioning to ensure a 100% effectiveness for Field Service Representative store calls
  • Responsible for participating in key customer meetings to ensure that information is transferred to Field Service Representatives in a timely manner
  • In charge of the Mobile Briefcase and Encore apps (i.e. EnCompass, Booking Sheets, etc…) Including the maintenance and fine-tuning of information as needed
  • System admin: Store changes, store number changes, territory changes related to EnCompass and product changes.
  • Premium tracking
  • Will help new reps in all aspects of tools needed (business cards, iPad, tech training, training) Exiting reps - support to accumulate tools and properties.
  • Will help on all aspects of meeting preparations with hotel reservation (room, lunch, break, dinner, activities, necessities …)
  • Download POG’s as available and load into Mobile Briefcase.
  • Working with the Key Account team to ensure the “POS store by store data” and other reporting is accurate

Business Intelligence

  • Works along IS team to deliver reporting insights
  • Assimilating reports that are gathered from the Field Sales team (e.g. new and core item distribution, display/plan-o-gram compliance, etc.)
  • Responsible for the analysis and communication to the Field Sales Management, Executives, Key Account team, Marketing teams along with many others in the company
  • Responsible for all compliance reporting that goes into the iPad
  • Responsible for the tracking of all major events throughout the year

Your Experience:

  • Post-secondary education required - business concentration preferred
  • Work experience in a Sales or Marketing function
  • Grocery channel sales or merchandising experience is a strong asset
  • Extremely strong computer skill set (Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Excellent analytical skills; with the uncanny ability to develop key insights
  • Strong organization and communication/collaboration skills
  • Strong ability to deal with multiple priorities and stakeholders in all departments
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, demanding work environment
  • Highly organized, fact-based, and very detail oriented
  • Able to anticipate internal/external customers' needs and proactively seek to satisfy those needs
  • AC Nielsen acumen
  • Fluent in French, both written and spoken
