Job Description

Club Demonstration Services (CDS)is in need ofa Payroll Manager responsible for the administration and distribution of payroll for all Canada associates hired. This role is also responsible for managing Canada's payroll operations.

As the in-house product sampling company for Costco Wholesale, CDS has friendly, professional and talented employees who provide high quality product demonstrations and marketing services to Costco Wholesale and its vendors.

Responsibilities:

  • Primary contact for the organization’s payroll operations, payroll accounting, payroll tax filing reporting and escalated payroll issues.
  • Responsible for payroll reconciliations of the biweekly and semimonthly payrolls to ensure controls are maintained and stable.
  • Ensure all areas of payrollare in compliance with company policy and Canada regulations. Retain and research legal payroll matters and attend sessions to stay up to date on all payroll best practices. Ensure payroll operations remain up to date on all best practices.
  • Coordinates special payments and adjustments and resolves payrolloperations issues and manage through process improvements

Qualifications:

  • 7 years performing the complete payroll cycle, payroll tax filing (multiprovince) and a minimum of 2 years supervisory experience.
  • Fluent in French and English (verbal and written) is an asset.
  • Post-secondaryeducationin Business, Human Resources, Economics or related field
  • Strong knowledge of payroll data processing by use of in-house ERP, such as Oracle, SAP, PeopleSoft.
  • Payroll Certified preferred.
  • Advanced Excel experience.
  • Strong communication skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Customer service experience
