Job Summary:​

As a member of the Conagra Canada Finance leadership team and broader leadership team in Conagra Canada, you will act as a valued business partner to the Head of Marketing and manage the Canadian FP&A and Brand Finance functions. You will lead efforts to drive financial planning, influence strategy, and prioritize investments for the Canadian region based upon value-added analysis to drive excellence in business decisions, including post-mortem reviews of significant business projects. Responsibilities include planning, forecasting, management and analysis of the Canadian P&L and being a capable financial advisor to the Canadian Leadership team. You will manage, lead and coach a team of 8 professionals (2 direct, 6 indirect). You will be responsible for the implementation and monitoring of all internal controls within your team’s scope of responsibility.

Job Description:​

  • Provide financial leadership and analysis for Canada, key business partner to Head of Marketing, implementing strategies to help drive short and long-term finance performance
  • Lead development of strategic plan, annual plan and business forecasts providing specific, actionable and forward-looking deep insights on the various changes as well as guidance on potential risk
  • Develop/implement necessary processes to support internal forecasting/reporting requirements resulting in optimized forecast accuracy
  • Drive improvement in International Operating Segment and Canadian Markets Region financial modeling and processes with an ultimate objective of creating accurate and timely financial projections in an efficient manner
  • Identify and communicate key financial and business drivers in order to influence decisions
  • Lead communication of plan, forecast, and actual results to Canadian Leadership Team and VP of International Finance, including meaningful analysis of key variances of actual results to prior forecast, plan and prior year
  • Provide insightful and objective analysis to drive sound business decisions, including the development of metrics and scorecards that incorporate both internal and external benchmarking and consumer-led metrics
  • Lead and develop the Canadian finance team responsible for Brand Finance and FP&A (2 direct reports, 6 indirect reports)
  • Provide the Canadian finance team with formal and informal training and ongoing development while meeting team and region objectives
  • Manage and lead the development of monthly and quarterly reporting packages as required by International and Corporate
  • Support Canadian Head of Finance in developing strong Canadian financial analytic competencies
  • Develop relationships throughout the Canadian business unit, with a specific focus on being an active business partner to the Marketing leadership team
  • Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of Canadian internal reporting
  • Ensure timely and effective internal control policies and procedures are in place for all applicable processes
  • Lead Finance functional initiatives as requested
  • Partner with IT to find technological solutions that create process efficiencies
  • Member of the Canadian finance leadership team and the Conagra Canada extended leadership team
