Responsibilities
- Lead Customer Business Planning
model: twelve to eighteen month business planning, tactical management of
merchandising and pricing, utilize cross functional resources.
- Role model and instill Conagra Way
values – Integrity, External Focus, Agility, Broad-mindedness, Leadership
and Results.
- Review and assess shipment/IRI
report performance, understand monthly/weekly data and trends, drive
action when needed.
- Continuous evaluation of customer
and market trends and strategies to insure overall business and brands
stay on track to deliver annual plan.
- Take an active role with cross
functional partners in developing customer selling presentations and
content along with active participation in making presentations and/or
coaching team members.
- Regular customer visits to coach,
train and provide feedback to account managers/cross functional partners,
as well as, develop higher level customer contacts.
- Regular market visits to review
store conditions, monitor competition, evaluate MAPS and communicate
findings internally as needed.
- Effective PMP management
(Performance Management) for direct team including setting objectives,
providing on-going candid feedback and setting end of year
ratings.
- Effective Administrative and
Financial management – T&E, Trade Accrual, Compensation, Deductions,
Staffing.
Qualifications
- BS/BA in Business or related field
required
- 7 - 10 years progressive sales
experience including past supervisory experience.
- CPG experience preferred
- Must have demonstrated sales
management experience managing multiple product categories and customers.
- Must have demonstrated knowledge
of sales, trade, category management and marketing concepts and methods as
well as proven ability to apply them effectively in planning and
execution.
- Must have demonstrated using
multiple information sources to develop sales strategies and tactics as
well as effectively managing promotional activity and trade spending.
- Matrix management and leadership
experience. Ability to lead in a team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to
communicate and influence at all levels across the organization and the
customer
- Ability to define problems,
collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and develop action plans/recommendations
to drive correction/improvement.
- Proficient PC and systems skills.
