Position summary:
- Deliver planned annual sales &
profit targets for account responsibilities while managing trade
effectively for the Convenience & Gas Channel
- Apply strong product and market
knowledge to identify growth opportunities within existing accounts and to
acquire new business within the C&G Channel
- Collaborate effectively with
several functions within the organization (Commercial Strategy, Revenue
Growth Management, Brand Marketing, Demand Science, Shopper Marketing,
Finance, Supply Chain) to ensure C&G deliverables are achieved
Responsibilities:
Customer Account
Management: Demonstrate ability to drive sales results while providing
best-in-class customer service for Convenience & Gas Channel Customers
- Lead strategic business
initiatives & develop joint business plans with customers in partnership
with Broker
- Negotiate annual agreements, promo
activity, listing fees, price increases & costing with customer
- Communicate and execute Conagra’s
sales & marketing strategies
- Work closely with Commercial
Strategy and Brand Marketing to bring new innovation or in/outs to market
- Improve wiring with key customer
buyers, operations personnel, merchandising manager etc., to improve flow
of information (inventory levels, planogram and display execution etc.,)
and uncover merchandising opportunities for Conagra
- Win new listings & increased
points of distribution within existing accounts and new business
Sales: Utilize
product, category, customer and consumer data to identify opportunities and
prepare selling presentations in partnership with Broker.
- Lead execution behind all
marketing programs and innovation launches in partnership with Commercial
Strategy (calendar, distribution, pricing, merchandising etc.,)
- Work with customer to confirm
timing of key retail communication in collaboration with Broker to maximize
sales opportunities against key activity
- Review pricing across all Conagra
& competitive brands to identify key opportunities and gaps within the
banners and regional market
Business
Planning/Financial accountability: Conduct sales analytics, using available
insights to provide solutions to customer needs.
- Deliver Annual Net Sales &
Profit targets
- Accurately forecast sales volume
& trade dollars
- Develop, implement and evaluate
trade and shopper marketing initiatives, based on insights
- Maximize trade investments and
efficiencies aligned to business objectives
- Business and category analysis.
Develop & present category management solutions
- Understand and execute marketing
plan sales material
- Monitor trade activity execution
- Evaluate customer specific reports
where available
Relationship
Management within internal matrix organization
- Work in close collaboration with
cross-functions within Commercial Strategy, Revenue Growth Management,
Brand Marketing, Demand Science, Shopper Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain
to achieve the company’s goals
- Partner with Broker to ensure
strong customer communication and effective sharing of insights
- Communicate with other sales
personnel and functions within Conagra as needed
Qualifications,
Education & Experience:
- Post-secondary education in
Business administration, Commerce or related field
- 5+ yrs. Consumer Packaged Goods
(Foods) Sales/Key account management experience ideally in the Convenience
& Gas Channel
- Strong analytical skills &
proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
- Proficiency in Nielsen software
- Strong relationship management
skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- Strong business and financial
acumen: business analytics skills, customer P&L agility, ability
to plan, track and evaluate trade management
- Ability to make recommendations
for solutions based on information gathered and analyzed from the systems
previously mentioned
- Strong attention to detail and
accuracy of data entry
- Demonstrated ability to manage
trade spending
- Strong technical, report running
and analytical abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
Suite
