Price Analytics:

  • Support Brand Marketing with new & existing item pricing strategy, providing recommendations on value item position and price elasticity.
  • Support Brand Marketing with pack size ratios to establish an effective pricing architecture slope.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of the current pricing architecture and develop recommendations for refinement or to capture new opportunities. [based on product, pack, channel.
  • Propose short-term pricing moves and long-term pricing strategy recommendations to maximize Gross Margin and Net Sales.
  • Provide holistic perspective and insightful analytics that lead to strategic pricing recommendations [Base, Incremental, EDLP, etc.] across all Channels.


  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to influence outcomes and achieve buy-in.
  • Support Brand Marketing with pricing strategies for new products rooted in analytics and consumer/customer/category/competitive insights.
  • Determine brand price positioning and target price gaps to optimize pricing vs. competition.
  • Provide pricing thought leadership and leverage best practice intelligence, processes, technology, and research to further develop pricing intelligence and capability.


  • Lead and develop scorecards to ensure price action is realized.
  • Assist in selling in pricing action.
  • Recommend a course of action for any National and brand pricing issues.
  • Establishes and sets guardrails for Go-To-Markets.
  • Work with the Customer teams to optimize trade investment for maximum ROI.
  • Analyze National level trade spend and develop recommendations.


  • Reports to Sr Revenue Growth Manager.


  • University Degree, preferably with an emphasis in business, economics, finance and/or accounting, MBA / CFA an asset.
  • 1-3 years of CPG experience in either Revenue Management, Customer or Sales strategy, Sales or Trade finance preferred.
  • Strong financial & analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working with Nielsen.
  • Familiarity with the Canadian marketplace and the dynamic between brands, retailers, and consumers.
