Job Description

Sales Coordinator (Natural Health Food – CPG, Work Flexibility)

Our client, a leading Natural Health Food Consumer Goods Company, located in Toronto, ON is looking to hire a Sales Coordinator to join their team on a Permanent, Full-Time basis.

Due to covid, this role is currently a Remote Work-from-Home role. Post covid, this role will include Work Flexibility including the ability to work remotely from home, and to come into the office. Number of days in office/ at home to be discussed with the hiring Manager.

Reporting to the Chief Customer Officer, the Sales Coordinator will play a key role as the central hub for all internal and external stakeholders as it relates to our customers and sales plans. This position will provide administrative and sales support to the sales team.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Sales Support

  • E-commerce accounts:
  • Set up products, update images and descriptions, create/ update store pages and “from the manufacturer” sections, update store locators

  • Data Management & Analysis:
  • Retailer point of sale portal data extraction and analysis of information
  • Maintain updated price lists and product spec lists
  • Maintain all key customer references document including customer price lists by type and region
  • Portal administration to manage deals, listings and product updates
  • Maintain GS1 product certification and listings
  • Inventory Management:
  • Monitor and manage dating inventory to minimize write off
  • Maintain a calendar of all key customer planogram and promotional cycles
  • Administrative owner of the AFS trade spend module

  • Samples:
  • Working with the marketing coordinator, manage and execute against sales and marketing samples requests

  • Trade Shows:
  • Work with the Marketing Coordinator to manage company participation at various trade shows (booking/payment of trade show, gathering all materials and products, coordinating shipment, etc.)

  • Sales Materials:
  • Create and manage broad communication pieces such as sell sheets, trade letters, pack change transition notification, new formulation sell sheets, product launch decks (including sample requirement, planogram timing, workback schedule)

  • Customer Meeting and Events:
  • Create customer presentations, and ensure sales-related equipment, product and promo materials are in place

  • In-Store Activities:
  • Manage demo executions (Costco and other retailers)
  • Flyer tracking for accuracy (deals and image)

  • Retailer Programs:
  • Leverage marketing initiatives (such as digital campaigns) with retailers

2.Project Management

  • Point of contact for coordinating activities with internal cross functional team members including marketing, operations and finance
  • Scheduling, compiling agenda and taking minutes for weekly/quarterly sales meetings

Experience:

  • Post-secondary education in Business/Marketing
  • 2-3 years of experience supporting a sales team at a fast-moving consumer-packaged goods and/or a fast-growing company.
  • Experience working in a small team in an entrepreneurial environment would be an asset.
  • Data literacy, i.e. sales and financial data
  • Ability to anticipate and fulfil the sales teams’ and customers’ needs
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, conditional formatting) and PowerPoint
  • Experience with AFS Trade Pro, AC Nielsen, and QuickBooks would be an asset
