Channel Marketing Manager, E-Commerce

Our client, a leading Consumer Goods Company, located in Markham, ON is looking to hire a Channel Marketing Manager, E-Commerce to lead the E-Commerce Strategy for their Company on a Permanent, Full-Time basis.

Reporting into the Marketing Manager, the Channel Marketing Manager, E-Commerce will be responsible for developing, implementing and supporting marketing activities to expand sales within Canada. As a “E-Commerce Channel Expert”, the position requires an individual who has the ability to be responsible for channel development, customer sales, competitive knowledge, stakeholder communications and sales team training.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a Canadian E-Commerce launch and business plan that contributes to Company’s Paramount Goal to maximize profits for the long term.
  • Be the Canadian market research resource when there is a need for management and other stakeholders to better understand current E-Commerce market trends, industry activities and our competitor’s actions.
  • Inform management on potential competitive threats and propose corrective actions.
  • Lead responsibility for Canada in the development and execution of our digital marketing strategy, including E-Commerce, through thoughtful actions that consider customer needs and industry trends/research.
  • Proactively develop and execute channel pricing and promotional activity as required to create channel demand.
  • Channel P&L management focused on methods to deliver long-term desired results.
  • Liaise with other stakeholders in sales and marketing to provide direction on E-channel and customer pricing based on competitive and market price benchmarks.
  • Manage all aspects of Company’s online content and E-Commerce marketing with key stakeholders, for a variety of product lines, through the entire product marketing lifecycle.
  • Develop, manage and optimize website content, features and customer experience that help differentiate our product’s positioning from competitors.
  • Create, maintain and communicate positioning strategies about the website, as part of E-Commerce strategy, while working with IT, management, operations, engineering, sales and customers.
  • Liaise with U.S. E-Commerce colleagues on joint product and/or promotional initiatives.
  • Ability to execute digital marketing activities including SEO, SEM.
  • Interact with internal and external customers and communicate feedback regarding future content and feature enhancements to the Company website to the development team.
  • Work with strategic customers and E-Commerce partners to promote Company brands and create offers to enhance sales and strengthen partnerships.
  • Lead new product development initiatives to drive profitable sales for both branded and private label offerings.
  • Aid in creation of online merchandising materials in support of product lines including online banner ads, sample requests, sales collateral, etc.
  • Attend key tradeshows and conferences to understand the needs of customers and market trends.
  • Other marketing project related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Completion of College diploma or University degree in marketing/business.
  • Minimum 5 + years related digital marketing & e-commerce experience
  • Amazon experience an asset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel and PowerPoint, SEO, SEM, Google Ads/Analytics.
  • Valid Passport and ability to travel in North America.
