In this Associate Brand Manager (ABM) Role, you will develop, manage and execute annual brand strategies for the Principal Partners assigned to this role. The candidate will also play an important role in aiding and supporting the CBP Business Team through their aggressive 5 year strategic plan for growth and innovation.

  • Planning and Budget Management: The candidate would report into the VP Principal Development and would participate in the development of brand plans that include identifying growth opportunities / channel development, communication strategies, and in-store programs and will have the opportunity to lead projects in these areas, ensuring effective and efficient delivery, on time and within budget.
  • Cross Collaboration: The ABM will work cross functionally with all departments across the organization inclusive of but not limited; Sales, Logistics, Finance, Analytics and E-com.
  • Consumer Insights & Analytics: Leverage consumer insights and lead analysis of in-market performance to ensure our brand programs are relevant and impactful.
  • Some of the Brand Responsibilities include, but not limited to : SPAM® Luncheon Meat, STAGG® Chili, HORMEL® Real Bacon Topping , Manny’s TM/MC Tortillas and Corn Nuts



  • Must have 3+ years’ Brand Management experience within the Canadian CPG industry
    • understanding of business management responsibilities within the Canadian grocery industry (experience trade fund management, analytical skills as examples)
  • Analytical thinker, strategic problem solver, organizational & time management skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and synthesize key performance drivers for the leadership team, with a bias for action to address issues
  • Effective communicator across internal departments, as well as with external partners and clients
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with the drive and passion to succeed
  • Strong working knowledge of PC applications including MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
  • Excellent communication and persuasion skills, combined with strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Proven project management ability with a bias for action
  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree
