THE ROLE – MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR
Browning Harvey Ltd.’s St. John’s facility is currently looking for a full time, permanent employee in the role of Maintenance Supervisor.
The Maintenance Supervisor will help to maximize plant reliability and efficiency through the supervision of the maintenance team and the management of the maintenance work order system.
The core responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Involvement in plant improvement projects, specifically in project design, co-ordination, and implementation.
- Develop a deep understanding of plant systems and processes
- Organization and management of the spare parts inventory.
- To ensure maintenance performance indicators are being achieved through development of maintenance reports.
THE CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A post-secondary degree or diploma in engineering with a 4th Class Power Engineering ticket preferred.
- Strong technical skills relating to PLC control systems, equipment automation and equipment electrical/mechanical design.
- Several years of supervisory experience in an automated industrial environment
- Experience in food manufacturing is a definite asset.
- Superior communication skills,
- Will be required to work a flexible schedule determined by business requirements
- Must be able to work with a diverse group.
- Aptitude for computers and other technology
- Developed planning, problem solving, troubleshooting and organizational skills.
- Working in a setting with heavy equipment and hazardous materials will also be required.
