Reporting to the Director of Sales Strategy and Category Management with a dotted line to the Director of Digital & Ecommerce, the Ecommerce & Pure Play Manager will be responsible for leading ecommerce initiatives on the Sales Team aligned with our company’s Digital Transformation strategy.

This role is accountable for creating value and driving omnichannel sales growth through strategic relationships with internal stakeholders, retailers and on-premise accounts, and pure play partners (e.g. Vivino). As an expert in ecommerce, you will ensure integrated digital thought leadership and seamless execution online and in-store.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Strategy & Planning:

  • Build credibility by bringing ecommerce thought leadership and expertise to customers and Arterra sales organization
  • Help develop and enhance customer relationships working in close partnership with Key Account Managers, Customer Marketing, Insights and Digital Teams
  • Build integrated customer plans with key stakeholders by effectively wiring with Regional Sales VPs, Account Managers, etc. to drive topline omnichannel sales and share growth
  • Inspire and influence customers and cross-functional teams to execute collaborative strategies, programming and analytics to increase our online and omnichannel share across various retailers
  • Subject matter expert and consultant with Sales teams and external customers to educate, build relationships, prioritize and invest in high impact initiatives and sales strategies
  • Optimize digital third-party touchpoints and provide recommendations for improved consumer experiences
  • Identify and facilitate digital acceleration opportunities

Pure Play Partner Management:

  • Develop strategy and build relationships with pure play partners to drive online expansion of our portfolio
  • Drive growth with partners to maximize brands’ strategic opportunities
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to plan and execute programs and activations

Digital Change Management:

  • Work collaboratively with the Digital & Ecommerce team and other cross-functional teams to align on strategy, execution, tracking and optimization
  • Lead digital upskilling within the Sales organization through education, development and sharing of best practices across regions, and build playbooks
  • Help develop and maintain training tools to support the continuous improvement evolution of sales with an omnichannel focus
  • Ensure Sales Teams have required resources to deliver on results and is a proactive solution finder to anticipated gaps
  • Work with Digital, Insights and Analytics teams to develop tracking, analysis, competitive benchmarking and reporting
  • Collaborate to develop and scale omnichannel processes and resources

        What you bring:

        • University Bachelor Degree, Master’s Degree is an asset
        • 5+ years relevant business experience in sales or customer marketing roles with a digital focus
        • Bilingual (English/French) is an asset
        • Natural talent for story telling and articulating consumer buying habits
        • Demonstrated experience and ability to think strategically and execute a plan
        • Excellent communication and organizational skills
        • Proven problem-solving skills
        • Results oriented, self-motivated, driven and disciplined
        • Computer literacy, including the ability to create and modify PowerPoint presentations, Word and Excel documents as well as effectively utilize web-based tools and resources
        • Proof of valid Driver’s License will be required
        • Must be able to lift wine cases weighing up to 45 pounds
