The Senior Brand Manager role is a key position within the Lifestyle & Accessible Brands Marketing team.

The position is responsible for Canada’s #1 wine and Arterra’s biggest brand, Jackson-Triggs, as well as for overseeing another up and coming top performing brand, Saintly Wines. The Senior Brand Manager will also directly supervise the work of direct reports.

The successful candidate will be a consumer first marketer and brand builder with significant expertise in renovating and growing leading brands. They will inspire agency partners and cross functional teams in the strategic development of their portfolio including brand strategy, communications, go-to-market, and innovation. They will also oversee creative, media and promotion execution for the portfolio. With a deep experience in full P&L management, they also will be able to work closely with their operations and sales counterparts to deliver targeted growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develops and executes all aspects of brand management for portfolio or category of brands, including strategy, positioning, pricing, advertising / media, promotions, and P&L management
  • Identifies and evaluates new product and renovation opportunities
  • Works closely with their cross functional peers to ensure seamless integration and execution of consumer-led strategies and execution (Insights, Sales, Shopper Experience, Finance, Operations)
  • Monitor and track performance, budgets and adjust plans accordingly to ensure delivery of business commitments.
  • Inspires and manages strong agency relationships with an impressive roster of partners in creative, design, media and PR.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, specialization in marketing or related field (MBA an asset)
  • 7-10 years marketing and/or comparable experience with a recognized Tier 1 consumer packaged goods company, or similar caliber (eg. retailer or other industry). Previous experience in alcohol industry a plus.
  • Significant experience with briefing and leading original creative development and assessing creative and media plans
  • Experience managing direct reports, and leading a diverse, cross functional teams, working on complicated projects.
  • Ability to thrive in fast paced environment, and to prioritize and organize multiple workstreams across the portfolio
