Job Description

Reporting to theManager, Technical Development, the Senior Applications Systems Analyst is responsible for designing, configuring, technical development and supporting the business software applications. This individual will work to translate business requirements into system solutions. The individual is responsible for defining technical solutions that enable/enhance business capabilities or resolve business challenges. Working in a highly dynamic environment, the individual will demonstrate independence and a bias for action. The individual will collaborate with Senior Business Analysts, Solution Managers, Project Managers and Business Users to confirm requirements and develop technical solutions, including technical development for new projects, ongoing maintenance, and system testing.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Development

  • Work with Business Analysts, Solution Managers, and Business Users in clarifying needs and requirements for their technical issues related to the configuration, technical development, performance, and enhancements of their business applications software.
  • Translate all requirements and expectations into a cost effective technical solution approach which includes technical development, technical deliverables, work plans, unit testing and project implementation requirements.
  • Participate in peer code reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications and development standards.
  • Maintain consistent process and technical documentation across all applications.
  • Ensure compliance with defined configuration standards and SDLC procedures.
  • Understand and execute release management and change management process for all technical development to business applications software.
  • Incorporate security requirements into technical development and design.

Technical Documentation

  • Creates and maintains the technical documentation for all technical development and for all design aspects to provide support to solution development, solution support and solution testing teams for enterprise solutions.

Application Support

  • Supports incidents and issues for complex applications support activities including incident management and supports the assessment and delivery of application upgrades and code patches.
  • Identify, troubleshoot and resolve complex application code defects, or complex application integration code defects, including escalating to Vendors to report code defects.
  • Supports escalated issues for application support between the business and IT / Vendor.
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned or required.

Qualifications

Education

  • Completion of a degree in Computer Science or a related discipline - or a combination of education, training and experience deemed equivalent.

Experience

  • 6-8 years’ experience in the technical development for applications in the domain.
  • Oracle JD Edwards ERP Software using Oracle JDE E1 development tool sets including RDA, FDA, PODA, TDA, BVDA, NER, BSFN, BSSV, Table Triggers, UTB, OMW, E1 Pages. BI Publisher and OneView Reporting
  • 6-8 more years of related work experience with a background in technical analysis, design and development of corporate systems. Must have an excellent knowledge of the principles, practices, and standards of the Systems Development Life Cycle.
  • Service-orientated self-starter that is able to work independently and prioritize work load.
  • Ability to take ownership and follow through on all tasks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work and communicate well with all levels of the organization.
  • Consumer Packaged Goods or Beverage alcohol industry experience preferred.
