Job Description

The role of thisSales Representative is responsible for managing, selling to, and planning for the grocery channel. This position’s objective is to expand sales of our wine portfolio from both a volume and market share perspective while positioning Arterra Wines Canada as the core supplier in this area.

This is a contract position (18 months) with the potential of turning into Full Time.

The Territory for this role is Toronto Central-Toronto East.

What you will be doing:

  • The sales representative will be responsible for managing and implementing the sales and marketing strategies assigned by the organization. The sales representative will optimize sales of our products at each point of sale and ensure that they build and maintain professional and productive business relationships with customers and members of the sales team.
  • Plans and establishes for each client visit within its territory, the priorities, objectives and strategies assigned by the organization.
  • Plans and manages the territory in a way that optimizes and meets the objectives of the visit frequencies, the duration per visit and the tasks performed during the visits.
  • According to priorities, objectives and corporate strategies (e.g. new products, promotions), the representative ensures that they have all the information, knowledge and documents to communicate, present and obtain customer engagement.
  • Meets sales and profitability targets.
  • Executes in-store display and marketing priorities.
  • Valid and ensures effective and complete management of the requested reports within the required time frame.
  • On a weekly basis, plans and communicates plans for priorities, objectives and monitors in-store execution.
  • Identify and capture sales opportunities in order to optimize the level of product inventory during promotions and/or special events, obtain and ensure the correct location and layout of our products on display and ensure the implementation of promotional materials corresponding to promotional activities.

What you will bring:

  • A Strong work ethic with the ability to adapt and learn (Post Secondary is an asset)
  • A track record of success in a similar (sales) role
  • Previous beverage alcohol sales experience an asset but not necessary
  • Microsoft Office with Excel skills
  • Live within the territory
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to develop partnerships quickly, internally and with the customer.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Self-started and works well independently is imperative.
  • Flexibility within the grocery channel is a must
  • Detail oriented.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with no impeding offenses
  • Must have their own vehicle
  • Must be SMART SERVED
  • Must be able to lift 40lbs+
