The role of the Manager, Revenue
Growth Management (RGM) is to lead the RGM agenda for their respective region
by developing pricing and promotional strategies and tactics to win with our
customers and consumers. Recommend pricing and promotional plans in
collaboration with the Sales and Marketing teams to deliver incremental EBIT.
Ability to collaborate and influence across the organization at all levels is
essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities
PRICING
- Develop recommendations for
pricing tactics & strategies to help deliver on EBIT goal
- Create alongside Marketing,
a long-range pricing architecture and plan for all brands within
region/channel
- Work with Operations and
Sales to deliver pricing tactics that addresses supply and inventory
concerns
- Recommend pricing for
innovations
- Proactive work and
recommendations to capitalize on pricing, promo, mix management, pack
price architecture and portfolio optimization opportunities
- Keep the pulse, assess, and
inform of competitive pricing actions
PROMOTIONS
- Develop recommendations for
promotional tactics & strategies to help deliver on EBIT goal and are
in line with allocated budget
- Work with Operations and
Sales to deliver promotional tactics to address supply and inventory
concerns
- Prepare monthly reviews for
cross-functional team on promotional activities to ensure efficiencies of
spend, volume generation and optimized ROI
- Recommend promotional spend
for innovations
- Provide lift forecast for
promotions
- Monitor and inform cross
functional team on promotional spend.
CROSS-FUNCTIONAL
WORK
- Lead monthly promo reviews
with Sales and determine which promotions will be submitted to the
customer(s)
- Educate team on P&L
levers and what is driving performance to help uncover areas of focus and
to make the right decisions
- Enable continuous RGM
improvement through ways of working and tools
- Collaborate with the
insights team to build sell-in stories for customer presentations
- Present to internal and
external customers the strategy and tactics of the pricing actions and
promotional activities with compelling sell-in story to influence the
support of our brands
- Collaborate with the
insights team and inform from an RGM lens on actuals
- Collaborate with the
insights team and build sell-in stories for customer presentations
- Understand the
market/region/channel dynamics and offer insights based on that knowledge
coupled with the price and promo done within that region
- Collaborate, brainstorm and
knowledge transfer with RGM team members on best practices or on what is
happening in your market.
SYSTEMS, DATA AND
TOOLS
- Own and manage tools,
reporting, scorecards, and datasets for the region/channel
- Manage and maintain channel
specific promotional tool/grids
- Ensure data integrity for
the region with the help of the senior analyst on the desk
- Ad hoc involvement in Price
& Promo projects.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate Degree;
Business, Economics, Data Science, Math
- 3-5 year in Revenue
Management, Sales/Commercial Finance with preference to Consumer Packaged
Goods experience
- Pricing Strategies &
Promotional Tactics
- Financial & commercial
acumen
- Strong written & verbal
communication skills
- Ability to work well under
pressure, multi-task and manage various projects simultaneously
- Advanced Excel skills
