The successful candidate will lead
the materials planning team with a national focus. The responsibilities will
include planning and controlling the purchase, delivery and inventory of all
raw materials and packaging components to the production lines in our 3 major
manufacturing locations as well as our co-packing partners. Key focus
will be to ensure operational efficiencies, to control the inventory of
materials and to minimize waste while managing budgets.This role is
flexible to work from one of our facilities located in Niagara Falls, ON,
Rougemont, QC or Oliver, BC.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the
management of dry goods to support production on the national level. Optimize
and standardize the ways of working
- Purchase Order creation and
management
- Order optimization to
minimize Purchasing Plan Variance
- Truckload optimization to
minimize transport costs
- Shortage reporting and order
expediting
- Bill of Material management
- Supplier performance
tracking
Inventory control
& risk management
- WO component reconciliation
and periodic cycle counts
- Asset disposal & provision
and component end-of-life
- Delivering target inventory
levels on budget
Planning &
system maintenance
- Forecast submission for
supplier planning
- MRP parameter maintenance in
JDE
Team management
- Align the organization’s
structure, systems, processes, and people with business strategy
- Develop team members to
increase productivity and align with their individual development goals
- Establish clear, concise key
results that are aligned with business objectives
- Create an environment that
celebrates and enable our business culture
- Communicate effectively up,
down, and laterally to ensure alignment of work
- Provide purpose, context,
and direction to team members in addition to coaching and mentoring the
next generation of managers and leaders
Collaborative projects
- Support the New Product
Development process to timely and successful launches
- Represent material planning
on national projects
- Ownership of WorkflowGen
process and item setup submission for vintage changeover
What you bring:

Diploma or degree in Supply
Chain, Operations Management or Logistics
-
5-7 years’ experience in planning/material/procurement
- Must have strong computer
skills and knowledge of MRP/DRP
- JDE/JDA specific experience
- Excellent communication and
organizational skills
- Proven problem-solving
skills
- Results oriented,
self-motivated, driven and disciplined
- Bilingual (French and
English) a strong asset
