Job Description

Finance business partner to key members of the national Marketing Team focused on the Agency and Quebec Grocery business.

Provide reporting, analytics and insights into the financial aspects of the business during day to day operations, month end, forecasting and planning. Ensure accuracy of spend results within the appropriate budgets and identify areas of risk/opportunity. Participate in discussions on process, projects and business improvement. Reporting, analytics and insights created by this role are highly visible and directly support the leadership team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monthly Reporting and Analysis - Lead the monthly financial close ensuring accurate and timely recognition of results according to US GAAP and internal policies. Provide insights and commentary monthly keeping key stakeholders apprised of business drivers and challenges.Identify and understand the variances, highlight areas of concern to business partners related to the annual plan and support action plans to mitigate risks. As a data steward ensures that the product hierarchy and attributes facilitate all brand level reporting.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting - Lead budgeting and forecasting of financials for area of responsibility by ensuring consistency with strategic guidelines and constraints. Monitor, forecast and challenge spending to ensure budget compliance with business unit owners. Develop and maintain monthly Risk and Opportunities analysis and reporting by leveraging our Sales and Operations Planning processes.
  • Business Partnership- Proactively support business unit managers to provide them with monthly reports and insights. Identify opportunity/risk areas, and tracking improvement and challenging the teams thinking. Required to understand the business and systems to be able to provide ad hoc analysis, commentary, and reporting as requested by senior leaders.
  • Provide insights to national Agency and Owned Import brand P&L’s and work with key stakeholders to support action plans where necessary.
  • NPD – Quebec Grocery - Develops and Leads the NPD financials, evaluate, challenge assumptions and compare to Benchmarks for Quebec Grocery. Perform Post analysis on key NPD’s and implement strategies to incorporate learnings in future NPD’s.
  • Agency Business- Analyze and report all financial aspects as it relates to the Agency business to key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned or required



  • University Degree (in Finance, Commerce or Accounting preferred)


  • 2-3 years experience in a similar role for a large Consumer Packaged Goods company

Qualifications, Certifications or Designations

  • CPA designation (preferred)
