Canadians will be forking over more money for groceries next year. Food prices in Canada are forecast to rise 1.5% to 3.5% in 2019, according to the ninth annual edition of Canada’s Price Report by Dalhousie University and University of Guelph. The annual food cost for the average Canadian family is expected to increase by $411 in 2019 to $12,157 for the year.
