About the Opportunity
Foods is looking for an enthusiastic Part-time (approx. 24 hours/week) Sales
Representative based within the territory.
position is responsible to develop the natural foods and conventional retail
sales market for Planet Foods portfolio of products in order to achieve and
exceed maximum sales targets profitably. In addition you will grow our account
penetration for existing and new product lines within their market segment. You
will reach your business targets through
the effective management and physical visits to your customer sites within your
- Establishes, develops and maintains business relationships with
current customers and prospective customers to generate new business, grow
existing accounts and obtain advantageous shelf placement.
- Represents the company product lines from a sound product knowledge
base inclusive of nutritional data, product attributes and competitor
- New business sourcing – continually seek out new prospective
customers to drive incremental Planet Foods business. Develops clear and
effective written proposals for current and prospective customers.
Analyzes the territory/market’s potential.
- Resolution of customer queries.
- Understands and pro-actively manages your retail customer visitation
schedule, optimizes turns of products and ensures shelves are always
- Merchandizing – Proactively manage merchandizing for customers by
facing up shelves, building displays, showing products to the best
advantage and keep stock clean and rotated at all times.
Relationship Management - understand clients businesses, their peaks,
their challenges, promotions, calendars, product demo’s, customer appreciation
days, events etc.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications and experience:
- Strong experience in all aspects of the retail
grocery industry within Consumer Packaged Goods.
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Proficient with Computers (MS Office, MS Excel)
- Field Sales, Home Office
- Must be willing to travel
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable

have 3+ years of previous CPG sales experience in the retail marketplace and be
organized and analytical. To be successful in this role you will show
leadership, initiative and drive. You will demonstrate entrepreneurial flare
and will have creativity and self-motivation. You must be able to work
independently and must have the capacity to multitask. Furthermore, you must be
able to bring projects to full completion without close supervision
