Job Description

The Director of Marketing will shape the way we look and taste for years to come while staying true to our rich history. At naturSource, they will have the opportunity to develop and execute their own integrated marketing plan. They will champion brand development, consumer communications (including social media), consumer and market research, portfolio innovation, trade presentations, retail pricing, and promotions. Working closely with the sales team to achieve success, they will provide overall direction and leadership to the marketing and R&D teams.

The ideal candidate will have a post-secondary education and is a seasoned professional brand ambassador with several years’ progressive leadership experience in brand development. Experience in a competitive food marketing environment would be considered a strong asset. They are a natural collaborator, known for their ability to challenge ideas and push others towards creative out-of-the-box thinking. They constantly look for ways to grow and evolve a brand to keep up with trends, stay competitive, lead the industry while attracting new consumers. They will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They are disciplined with a highly collaborative and team-based approach and are able to energize others while bringing fun to work with an infectiously positive attitude.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Minimum 8-10 years of related marketing experience within CPG industry
  • Experience in directing creative strategy to build brands
  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA an asset
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to both work independently and lead a team
  • Experience managing and coordinating consumer and trade events
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Strong analytical abilities and high attention to detail
  • Highly proficient in computer skills; Microsoft Office applications
