Position Objectives

Mondelez Canada is currently looking for Sanitarians to join our Team at the Toronto East York Bakery. Under the direction of the Quality Leader/Quality/Sanitation Leads, this role will be responsible for performing sanitarian duties in the plant building and on equipment for the purpose of achieving manufacturing goals, quality and sanitation standards, consumer/customer expectations and safety requirements. To maintain integrity in order to meet production targets and uphold the highest quality standard. To work with management and fellow colleagues to eliminate waste, drive performance, and continuously improve their hygiene, safety, quality, service, and cost. Will also be responsible for applying Integrated Lean Six Sigma (IL6S) methodology, and East York Bakery as a whole, in order to drive performance and long term growth.

Working Conditions

Works in manufacturing environment with varying levels of noise and temperatures and with requirement to wear company mandated uniform and safety equipment such as safety shoes, ear plugs, hair net and lab coat.

Job responsibilities

The successful candidate will have a solid working knowledge of and have the ability to resolve sanitation issues.

? Pick up scrap material.
? Sweep and wash (mop) floors.
? Ability to perform heavy lifting.
? Clean and sanitize production equipment.
? Run the tray washer
? Must be able to work on ladder platforms (elevated work) for: overhead cleaning including vacuuming and brushing &washing of the building structure.
? Any other Sanitarian Duties as required and assigned by your Sanitation Lead or their designate.

Internal and External Contacts

? Internal: Line Leaders & Line Managers, members of the Quality/Sanitation, and Plant Leadership Team.
? External: Suppliers.

? The successful candidate must be a responsible and reliable self-starter who is capable of working effectively with little supervision.
? Minimum one (1) year previous experience in sanitation is desired.
? Strong understanding of plant Sanitation Programs, including HACCP
? Team player with a positive attitude, working well with others.
? Strong communication skills coupled with the ability to read and write English proficiently.
? Demonstrated interest and concern for quality and keen observation skills.
? A keen desire to learn.
? Ability to work independently
? Knowledge of manufacturing processes and technologies
? Must be a strong performer who demonstrates reliability, an excellent attendance record, excellent team work and strong self-directed individual and group work ethic.
