Nature and Scope
? This position is responsible for the operation and production process of the mogul machine and candy molding processes
? Performs machine set-up, conducts a physical check of the machine and its sub-components, and completes all CCP checks using Quality Suite
? Supporting the NID and Makat operation in changeovers, breakdowns, and PMs
? Conducts minor repairs and adjustment during the set up procedure
? Proper use of flavour kits
? Checks temperature and other gauges to ensure proper specs for candy production
? Operates various mixers
? Operates all bucket elevators and conveyer belts
? Communicates with Process Control Coordinator to manage production
? Troubleshoots candy making process including the printing and shooting of candy
? Conducts frequent visual inspection of candy, especially its colour, shape and weight
? Cleans machines and all related components.
? Mixes, melts, prepares re-work
? Conducts proper shift handover procedures
? Fills out reports such a mogul reports, weight checks, re-work ID sheet, cleaning checklists, CCP checks
? Use of SAP to issue, confirm, and cancel orders
? Knowledge and understanding of SOP?s and work instructions
? Understand, participate and support all safety programs, policies and initiatives within the manufacturing location
? Responsible for ensuring all products produced meets all GMP and food safety requirements
? All other duties as assigned by supervisor Qualifications
Knowledge and Skills
? GMP/Food Safety and HACCP training
? Lockout training
? Computer literacy and numerical literacy is essential and required, specifically the use of SAP and Quality Suite
? Knowledge of and ability to follow specific and key protocols, policies, etc.
? Some mechanical knowledge, familiarly with machine parts, components
? Specific training on Mogul equipment: operation, troubleshooting, basic maintenance (such as fixing jam-ups, cleaning, etc.)
? Problem solving/trouble shooting skills are required
? Skyjack Certification
? High School Diploma.
? Some post-secondary education in a related field is an asset
Experience / Skills
? Previous use of food manufacturing machinery would be an asset
? Prior forklift or powertruck training is an asset
? Teamwork and good interpersonal skills
? Effective communication skills
? Strong organizational and time management skills
? Good written and oral communication in English is required
? This position regularly interacts with Process Control Coordinators, Mogul Service, other Mogul Operators, Oiler/Sanders, the Lead Mogul Operator, the Shift Supervisors, and Maintenance.

? This position occurs in a food manufacturing plant environment
? Exposure to noise, raw materials, acidic agents, dust (starch) and variable temperatures is common (especially to heat)
? The use of personal protective equipment is required, particularly protective footwear, and hearing protection, and the occasional use of hard hats, safety glasses, and a respirator
? The use of company mandated uniform is required (long sleeve shirts/pants, hairnets, gloves, etc.)
