We are seeking an experienced CPG Sales Manager; you will work to strengthen and maximize existing business as well as increasing revenue through identifying and securing new opportunities/business. The primary responsibility will be to provide leadership, strategy and management of our broker network. The right person will convey strong leadership, ambition and drive to achieve sales and success. You are an energetic, self-motivated, organized and creative team player who has a track record of success and building solid relationships. You excel at both hunting and farming.

Accountabilities:

  • Plan, develop, implement and execute sales strategies and tactics, review progress and report on results
  • Provide strategic direction and communication to Broker representation
  • Build a target plan and process for the management/measurement of progress and resources needed to achieve success.
  • Achieve sales and revenue goals and initiatives that drive results within established account base
  • Collaborate with marketing, develop and implement promotions to drive profitable volume within the account base and broker network
  • Analyze data and sales performance including promotional analysis
  • Development of presentations, business reviews and proposals for both internal and external partners
  • Forecasting - develop timely and accurate forecasts (volume) for assigned accounts and revise throughout the year
  • Communicate to Senior Management relevant events and/or consumer trade affairs; collect data on POS, Distribution, Competition, and In-Store activities
  • Enhance in-store presence
  • Identify market trends
  • Collaborate with operations team to ensure fill rates and in-stocks are maintained
  • Alignment with external and internal stakeholder (category mangers, buyers, replenishment managers, marketing, operations, finance, customer service)
  • Attend and participate in trade shows

If you have the following, we want to hear from you!


  • Post secondary education

  • 3-5 years CPG sales experience dealing with brokers

  • Experience in the Natural channel an asset

  • Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects concurrently

  • Lots of initiative to push the boundaries, ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Creative, out-of-the-box thinker with a positive, can-do attitude

  • Detail Oriented with superior Project Management skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, Power Point

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Must be fluent in English – (French is an asset)

  • Knowledge and/or experience within the natural products category would be an asset

  • Must be legally able to work in Canada
