Here’s who will help take our brands to the next level:

We are seeking an experienced CPG National Sales Manager; you will work to strengthen and maximize existing business as well as increasing revenue through identifying and securing new opportunities/business in grocery, mass and drug. You will manage and grow National accounts as well as co-managing our broker network. The right person will convey strong leadership, ambition and drive to achieve sales and success. You are an energetic, self-motivated, organized and creative team player who has a track record of success with existing industry relationships and the ability to build new ones. You excel at both farming and hunting.

Accountabilities:

  • Develop a clear and measureable plan to achieve sales objectives within all assigned national accounts. Plan, develop and implement sales strategies and tactics, review progress and report on results
  • Achieve sales and revenue goals and initiatives that drive results within established account base
  • Build a target plan and process for the management/measurement of progress and resources needed to achieve success.
  • Provide strategic direction, communication and training to Broker reps and distributor reps
  • Collaborate with marketing to implement promotions to drive profitable volume within the account base and broker network
  • Analyze data and sales performance including promotional analysis
  • Development of presentations, business reviews and proposals for both internal and external partners
  • Forecasting - develop timely and accurate forecasts for assigned accounts and revise throughout the year
  • Communicate to Senior Management relevant events and/or consumer trade affairs; collect data on POS, Distribution, Competition, and In-Store activities
  • Enhance in-store presence
  • Identify market trends
  • Collaborate with operations team to ensure fill rates and in-stocks are maintained
  • Alignment with external and internal stakeholder (category mangers, buyers, replenishment managers, marketing, operations, finance, customer service)
  • Attend and participate in trade shows and sales meetings

The Successful Applicant will have:

  • 5+ years of experience at the national sales level within the CPG industry
  • Successful applicants will need to possess recent national accounts experience in Grocery, Mass, Drug, Hardware etc..
  • Established relationships with buyers is an asset
  • Solid track record in developing growth with new and existing accounts
  • Experience managing broker and distributor business/reps
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills
  • Strategic thinker
  • Resourceful, organized
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Must be fluent in English (French is an asset)
  • Must be legally able to work in Canada
  • Must be able to travel up to 30%
