Job Description

Position Summary:

The primary function of the Inside Sales Representative is to lend backup support to the Inside Sales team in all regions during a weekly schedule. They provide customers with exceptional customer service with respect to taking orders in a timely manner, troubleshooting any issues that may occur and ensure that all documentation is accurate and follow up is completed in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process sales orders/credits accurately and in a timely manner, follow up with order confirmations, inform out of stocks, and make recommendations and substitutions
  • Ensure all customer calls are answered with courtesy and respect and ensure customers receive exceptional consistent service
  • Support Inside Sales team in all regions with order entry and credit processing as well as follow up with customers and freight carriers
  • Collaborate with Account Managers/Marketing to inform customers of new products and marketing updates
  • Manage customer inquiries, complaints and requests in a timely manner
  • Ask additional questions to understand the customer requirements to ensure accurate and fact based solutions
  • Develop and share best practices and standards with respect to customer recovery when issues arise to ensure fair and timely resolutions
  • General administrative duties including maintaining customer records, filing, administration of customs documents and invoice processing
  • Manage pre-order process of limited release and special orders
  • Establish and maintain a good working relationship within close team dynamic, other departments and customers
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements


  • College or University education is preferred


  • minimum of 5 years’ experience in Inside Sales or Customer Service

Technical/Specialized Skills:

  • Proactive with consultative selling skills
  • Proficient use of JDE, Excel and Salesforce.com
