Job Description

Position summary:

  • To support the presence of all brands at retail grocery and mass merchant stores by utilizing creative and effective fact-based selling and merchandising techniques
  • Manage territory as if it was their own business, work independently to manage the territory


Retail Execution:

  • Execute 5-6 in-person calls per day according to call cycle schedule (will vary by territory)
  • Develop strong relationships with Store Managers and staff to gather feedback on execution gaps and action as needed
  • Ensuring all banner listed products are on shelf with tags
  • Ensuring new products have distribution on shelf with tags in compliance with corporate product launch dates in eight weeks of start ship
  • Pre-selling all merchandising activities in an effort to maximize consumer exposure through displays
  • Conducting audits on pricing, distribution and shelf space
  • Ensuring sales objectives and priorities are met and/or exceeded
  • Relaying escalated customer issues to regional District Sales Manager

Account Management:

  • Manage a portfolio of regional account that exceeds $1.5MM in sales
  • Volume and trade forecasting
  • Customer presentations
  • P&L Management


  • Managing administration around in-store activity, keeping track of receipt and & invoices
  • Keeping Sales Binder and tools up to date
  • Customer File Maintenance, photo uploading and filing
  • Tracking sales, display and distribution in CAG Trac
  • Point of Sale – keeping locker and car up to date with latest branded materials, accessible on a daily basis

Qualifications, Education & Experience

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a merchandiser or retail sales representative
  • University Degree, preferably in business administration, commerce or related field
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Must have the use of a reliable late model car, able to fit promotional material, display items and company product as required for the role
  • Must be able to lift 15-18kg
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills
