Senior Demand Planner (Consumer Goods, Hybrid)
Our client, a leading Consumer Goods Company, located in
the Greater Kitchener Waterloo area, is looking to hire a Senior Demand Planner
on a permanent, full-time basis.
Reporting into the Manager of Supply Chain, the Senior
Demand Planner will be responsible for forecasting accurate customer demand to
drive supply, sales and financial planning processes and results.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain a long-range forecasting model for the business unit.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the creation of an integrated business plan.
- Deliver regular reporting and analysis to support ongoing improvements in performance, planning and forecasting processes.
- Engage cross-functional stakeholders to contribute to and own the sales and operational planning process.
- Facilitate meetings and discussions, driving action items to completion.
- Prepare, maintain, and lead the demand review and full sales and operational planning cycle.
- Monitor and report significant changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategy.
- Conduct monthly forecast maintenance and support product launches and related planning activities.
- Propose and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy.
- Prepare and maintain demand input for cross-functional budgeting, multi-year planning, and related planning processes.
- Support management by identifying potential risks and support mitigation activities.
- Provide regular updates and insights to leadership on forecast performance and key trends.
- Provide weekly and monthly updates on forecast and financial outlook to leadership.
- Translate demand forecast into regional shipment demand plan for operations.
EDUCATION:
- Post secondary degree or diploma in Business, Supply Chain, or Mathematics or equivalent.
- Completion of APICS and/or IBF an asset.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 2 – 5 years’ experience in Supply Chain specifically within Demand or Supply Planning at a consumer goods company.
- Knowledge and experience in sales and operational planning process an asset.
- Knowledge and experience with an ERP system an asset.
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook (specifically with Excel – pivot tables, lookups).

Compensation:
- Base salary of $85,000 - $95,0000 commensurate with experience
