Moosehead Breweries is proud to be Canada's largest independently owned brewery. From the moment in 1867 when family matriarch Susannah Oland began brewing beer in her backyard in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, the Oland family name has been synonymous with great beer. Today, this long standing tradition continues under the leadership of Susannah's great, great, great grandson.

The brewery is located in Saint John, New Brunswick with The Premium Beer Company located in Mississauga, Ontario. The Premium Beer Company is a leader in developing partner brands to the top tier of their beer categories through innovative sales, marketing, and analytics and logistics management. The Premium Beer Company is a 'stand alone' company; wholly owned by Moosehead.
